Affinity Group Lounges
These networking lounges give attendees the ability to connect by SWE Affinity Groups. Our Affinity Groups (AGs) include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion AGs, Career Stages AGs, and Business and Interests AGs. The lounges will have networking time and content provided by the AGs and partners.
AG members who are interested in hosting a meetup during WE25 should speak directly with their AG lead. The method to sign up to host a meetup will be communicated to AG leads in July 2025. All sign-ups must go through the appropriate AG lead.
AGs may also lead virtual meetups during WE25; however, simultaneous sessions (a virtual element of an on-site event) are discouraged.

Rainbow Lounge
There will be a Rainbow Lounge at WE25 to offer a safe space for our SWE LGBTQ+ community and allies. This lounge will provide opportunities to connect, socialize, and participate in fun activities.
Prayer/Meditation Room
SWE provides attendees with a quiet space for meditation or prayer. We value your time with us and recognize the importance of self-care during a hectic and exciting program. This room will be open to all and will include prayer mats as well as chairs.
Directorate & Working Group Meetup & Dinner
All members of the SWE Directorate, Working Groups, Boards, and Affinity Groups leadership are invited to attend this meetup and dinner. The first two hours will be allotted for Directorate and Working Group members to conduct SWE business. The final hour is for dinner, introductions, and a moment of appreciation and recognition. This event is by invitation only. Invitations will be issued by email in early September to leaders, who will then pass the invites on directly to their members. Registration is due by Oct. 1. The registration link will be shared via email invitation in advance.
